Dan was raised in Aberystwyth before moving to Manchester to study Pop Music and Recording. He stayed there for ten years working in bands (mostly jazz and folk music) and as a session musician. Here, he also began composing professionally for theatre and Theatre in Education forming a close association with Theatr Powys and Big Brum.
Now based in Cardiff, Dan has worked with many of the Welsh theatre companies including National Theatre Wales and also composes for dance and for television. He also performs regularly with his three bands all over Wales.
